How BLEC Group grew from a Plymouth electrical business into a nationwide multi-discipline compliance partner.

2011

BLEC is founded

Beaux founds BLEC as a Plymouth-based electrical contractor, focused on quality residential and commercial work across Devon and Cornwall.

2014

NICEIC Approved Contractor

Achieves NICEIC Approved Contractor status, becoming a certified BS 7671 18th Edition electrical compliance provider.

2017

Fire safety division added

Expansion into fire alarm install, servicing and emergency lighting — adding qualified fire alarm engineers to the in-house team.

2019

BAFE SP203 registration

Awarded BAFE SP203 Fire Safety Register (ID 303207) — independently audited fire detection & alarm services.

2021

AOV specialism launched

Dedicated AOV / smoke ventilation team established — design, install, servicing and BS 7346-8 sign-off under one roof.

2023

BLEC Group rebrands

Becomes BLEC Group — unifying AOV, Fire, Electrical and Security under one accountable nationwide compliance brand.
