What we do

Service & repair for any AOV system, any manufacturer

BLEC Group install, repair and service all types of AOV systems — including those manufactured by Velux, Ventec, S E Controls, Window Master, Dyer, Easivent and SCS. Whether we installed your system or someone else did, we can service it.

We can normally respond to an emergency call-out within 24 hours, so we can have your system up and running without inconvenience — helping you make sure that your premises are safe again.

Systems we service

Where we operate

We service AOV systems across the following areas: London, Devon, Cornwall, Bristol, South Wales, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Middlesex and Surrey. If your property sits outside these regions, get in touch — we can usually still help.

Typical faults we fix

Most call-outs we get fall into one of these common issues. If you’re seeing any of these on your system, give us a call:

One-visit fix where possible

All of our fully qualified engineers carry a stock of the most common replacement parts — back-up batteries, manual call points and smoke detectors — so that the repair can often be completed during a single visit.

When that’s not possible, we’ll provide a written, accurate repair quotation including parts, labour and correct lead times, so you can have your system up and running as soon as possible.

Why choose BLEC for AOV servicing

Fast response, stocked parts, qualified engineers

Six things that come as standard on every BLEC service visit — whether it’s a planned annual or an emergency call-out.

24-hour response

Emergency call-outs typically responded to within 24 hours — so your system is back up and running with minimum downtime.

Stocked parts on vans

Every engineer carries common spares — backup batteries, manual call points, smoke detectors — so most faults are fixed in one visit.

Fully qualified engineers

All BLEC engineers are directly employed, trained on every major AOV system, and accredited to BAFE standards.

Any manufacturer

Velux, Ventec, S E Controls, Window Master, Dyer, Easivent, SCS — we hold manufacturer contracts so we can work on any system.

Written quotes

If parts are needed beyond what's on the van, you get a written quote with parts, labour and clear lead times. No surprises.

10-region UK coverage

Active service contracts across London, Devon, Cornwall, Bristol, South Wales, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Middlesex and Surrey.

Common Questions

The questions we get asked most often when property managers are scoping a service contract or booking a one-off call-out. If yours isn’t here, just call or drop us a line.

Still have questions?
Our team responds to enquiries within one working hour during business hours.

We can normally respond to an emergency call-out within 24 hours — often faster if you’re in our core regions. If you’ve got a contract with us, response times are guaranteed in the SLA.

Yes — that’s a big part of what we do. We hold contracts with all the major manufacturers: Velux, Ventec, S E Controls, Window Master, Dyer, Easivent and SCS. If your system is from any of those, or any other UK manufacturer, we can service it.

BS 7346-8 recommends a weekly visual check by the building’s responsible person and a full annual service by a competent engineer. Most of our contracts cover the annual service plus reactive call-out cover for the rest of the year.

If the repair can be completed during the visit using parts our engineer has on the van, we’ll do it on the spot. If not, we’ll provide a written, accurate repair quotation including parts, labour and lead times — no surprises, no over-runs.

A full service typically takes 1–2 hours per system and covers: roof vent inspection (mechanical and seals), control panel fault-code check, battery load test, smoke detector trigger test, manual call point function check, and full open/close cycle test of the vents. You get a written service report at the end.

A beeping control panel usually indicates a fault that needs attention — most commonly a low-battery warning, a system mismatch, or a detector issue. It’s not immediately dangerous but the system may not operate correctly in a fire, so it should be looked at quickly. Call us and we’ll usually be on-site within 24 hours.
